Promote Transparency and Awareness of Diversity Policies

The 2008 financial crisis caused widespread hardship to consumers and the financial services industry. Communities of color were disproportionally impacted both as consumers and employees of financial services companies. Because of this, Section 342 of Dodd-Frank was created in 2010.

Racial Equity Institute’s (REI’s) Groundwater Training

Join fellow Greater Cleveland Partnership (GCP) members on June 21 for a full-day event featuring Racial Equity Institute’s (REI’s) Groundwater Training and an afternoon of dialogue on racial bias and its effects on businesses. REI’s Groundwater Training is an introduction to racial equity using stories and data to present a perspective that racism is fundamentally structural in nature and that, as such, not everyone is benefiting from our region’s growth and prosperity. This training is part of a multiyear community-wide awareness-building campaign—led by Cleveland Neighborhood Progress—to increase our region’s shared understanding of the ties between racial equity and economic development.
