GCP uses its best efforts to respect the privacy of its online visitors. The information collected by the GCP website is mainly contact information for the business entities that form our membership. However, information about you as an individual, such as your name, title and contact information may be collected along with your business’ general contact information. GCP only gathers personally identifiable data, such as names, addresses, zip/postal codes, e-mail addresses, etc., when voluntarily and knowingly submitted by a visitor. For example, personally identifiable information may be collected in order to respond to a stated desire to volunteer time, register for one of our programs or events, or receive informational materials. This information is used solely by GCP or other entities who are involved in the operation of this site for internal purposes.

We will only share personally identifiable information with third parties when (i) the person submitting the information authorizes us to share it; (ii) sharing the information is necessary for the operation of the site, or (iii) we are required to by law. GCP will never sell your business or personally identifiable information.

GCP does make your business name and business contact information available in our online directory of GCP members. In addition, GCP provides business contact information for our members to GCP Preferred Partners. Preferred Partners are GCP members who provide a valuable service or product at a discount to other GCP members. Any communications from Preferred Partners to other GCP members must be submitted to GCP for internal approval before they are distributed to our members.

Although our Preferred Partners are other GCP members offering products and services that may be beneficial to your business, we understand that some of our members may prefer not to receive this solicitation. If you would prefer your business information be omitted from the business contact information shared with our Preferred Partners, or omitted from GCP’s online directory, please contact us at the address listed above. Please keep in mind that GCP cannot guarantee you will not be contacted by a Preferred Partner, as your business contact information may be obtained from other sources not under the control of GCP.

Visitors should be aware that non-personal information and data may be automatically collected by the GCP website through the use of “cookies.” “Cookies” are small text files a website can use to recognize repeat visitors, facilitate the visitor’s ongoing access to and use of the site, and allow a site to track usage behavior and compile aggregate data that will allow content improvements. Cookies are not programs that come onto a visitor’s system and damage files.

Generally, cookies work by assigning a unique number to the visitor that has no meaning outside the assigning site. If a visitor does not want information collected through the use of cookies, there is a simple procedure in most browsers that allows the visitor to deny or accept the cookie feature. The GCP uses “cookie” technology only to obtain non-personal information from its online visitors in order to improve visitor’s online experience and facilitate their visit within our site.
