Sustainability
Building a Green Region on a Great Lake
Sustainability is not just a buzzword for businesses in the region. It is a catalyst for innovation, collaboration and growth across Greater Cleveland. Our companies are focused on initiatives and cross-sector partnerships that enable growth and competitiveness while also creating a better environment in our region.

Initiatives
Sustainability Leaders Group
GCP has established a Sustainability Leaders Group of 35+ of the largest companies and organizations in the region. The group meets regularly to build relationships, exchange ideas, and plan broader community initiatives. Our companies have a strong focus on sustainability and the leaders group has spurred the portfolio of initiatives listed here.
Innovation Initiatives
Innovation is key to sustainability. Our Sustainability Leaders Group has initiated a Labs program where each quarter, companies work together to solve common challenges through innovation. These Labs are industry-led efforts to exchange best practices and find opportunities for collaborative solutions. In addition, companies and institutions are working together to create centers of excellence for Sustainable Manufacturing and Materials through recent awards including an NSF Innovation Engine, an EDA Tech Hub, and the Arch-2 Hydrogen Hub.
Sustainability for Small Business Growth
Sustainability is a business advantage and imperative for all company sizes. For small and medium enterprises, we have developed a video series and resource pages to provide members starting points and information. Businesses should view sustainability to both save funds and retain and gain customers.

Sustainability Summit
Each year this event convenes business, civic thought leaders and changemakers committed to sustainable growth that shapes a resilient region. Discover the latest advancements in sustainable business practices, engage in thought-provoking discussions and network with industry leaders. Whether you're a seasoned sustainability professional or new to the field, this is a great opportunity to learn.
