Celebrating National Small Business Week 2026

Each year, COSE visits small businesses across Greater Cleveland to give back to these companies that give so much to their communities. It’s a great opportunity to see firsthand how these companies are uplifting and changing the region.

This year, the two businesses we visited are running more than just their own business – but their own small business ecosystem.

Stop 1 – NüIQ Wellness Lounge and Med Spa

5450 Detroit Ave., Cleveland

NüIQ Wellness Lounge calls itself Cleveland’s premier med spa, but it’s also created a health hub in Gordon Square. Besides operating NüIQ, owner Jamie Fiore also operates PureFyx café and Soul Space wellness center, all in the same building complex.

By not traveling for each experience, Jamie hopes clients feel ultimate relaxation. After Jamie himself experienced a bad accident and went through extensive recovery, he says looking at health and wellness holistically became his top priority, and delivering that to Greater Cleveland is his passion.

Stop 2 – FunktiniLand Shop

15613 Detroit Ave Suite B, Lakewood

Despite its small size at 500 square feet, FunktiniLand Shop in Lakewood is a big supporter of the local arts scene in Greater Cleveland. You’ll find different artwork and trinkets from all mediums – wall art, paintings, posters, cards, home décor – even artwork made of pistachio shells.

Owner Beth Keenan is an artist herself and grew up selling art with her mother, also an artist. That lifestyle also made her comfortable running a small business, and now FunktiniLand sits among more than 10 other small businesses on Detroit Ave. Visit for a unique gift for a loved one or to put a smile on your face and familiarize yourself with our region’s thriving arts scene.
