We need the spirited collaboration of business owners and leaders like you to help drive our mission and small business growth.
Public Policy Small Business Caucus: This committee is charged with understanding, discussing, and taking action on legislative and regulatory issues affecting small businesses.
Education & Content: This committee works year-round to ensure we are delivering content and learning experiences of relevance to support small business growth.
Membership and Engagement: This committee is dedicated to fostering a vibrant and inclusive membership community within the Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE).
Business Connections
The Business Connections committee is charged with identifying opportunities to connect small businesses to one another and to middle market and large businesses in the region. The role of this committee is both to facilitate connections between small business owners for sharing, learning, and collaboration, and to build connections between businesses of all sizes to promote local buying and keeping dollars in our local economy. This includes leading the strategy for peer-to-peer groups, networking events, coffees with COSE, B2B matchmaker, and any other program that brings businesses together.

Marketing and Communications
The COSE Marketing and Communications committee will be tasked with updating and managing the COSE brand. This group will lead clarity around COSE’s value, identify our space in the ecosystem, work to identify target audiences and the strategies and tactics we will develop to reach, engage and retain those audiences. Working in collaboration with our strategic communications team, this group will review data and information to help us most effectively communicate with and engage small businesses in COSE’s work.

Navigation to Growth
This committee is responsible for having a regular pulse on the needs of small businesses and working with COSE and our partners in the entrepreneurial ecosystem to identify, design, or launch products, services and solutions that help small businesses to be successful. This group will oversee COSE’s member benefits portfolio both assessing current product performance and evaluating new opportunities. The committee will also maintain connections with and knowledge of the resources provided by other partners or collaborators to ensure proper navigation to support for entrepreneurs and identification of gaps.

Small Business Caucus
The COSE Small Business Caucus acts as a standing body charged with understanding, discussing, and taking action on legislative and regulatory issues affecting small businesses. This includes working at the regional, state, and federal levels to escalate and advocate for policies that best support the needs and promote the growth of small businesses. Members of the Small Business Caucus also serve on the GCP Government Affairs Council representing the voice of small business as it relates to issues impacting the business community.

Education and Content
The Content and Educational Programming Committee will work year-round to ensure we are delivering content and learning experiences of relevance to support small business growth. As the leading body for the annual BIG Summit, the committee will design and drive all elements of the event including workshop content, speakers, exhibit hall, networking experiences, etc. Additionally, this group will identify the right topics and means of sharing pertinent and engaging content with small businesses on a regular and consistent basis.

The Membership & Engagement Committee is dedicated to fostering a vibrant and inclusive membership community within the Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE). This committee plays a crucial role in ensuring that COSE's membership is diverse, representative, and continually growing. From member recruitment to orientation, engagement and retention, this committee is focused on ensuring that members feel a sense of community and clearly understand the value of being a part of the organization.
