November 2, 2021 - Did you know that November is National Entrepreneurship Month?
At GCP's recent Middle-Market Forum, Boxed.com co-founder and CEO, Chieh Huang, shared stories and tips from his entrepreneurial journey from a startup in his garage to a company going global.

Here are the top three takeaways:
Give employees the freedom to innovate. To make the most out of employees' ideas and creativity, foster a sense of autonomy. Your employees are the ones working closest to problems in your company that need to be solved, so they have the best perspectives for solving them - empower them to do that.
The world is changing - fast. People are adopting technology at a faster pace than ever before. Make sure your company is ready to innovate as quickly as possible.
Live your purpose. Mission and goals can be seen as just words on paper, but your purpose should be more. Demonstrate your company's purpose every day - or else no one will believe it.
Chieh Huang is the co-founder and CEO of Boxed.com, a company that's disrupting the wholesale shopping club experience. Started in Huang's garage, Boxed now has hundreds of employees in facilities all over the United States. Since the garage, the company has sold hundreds of millions of dollars of products and has raised over a quarter billion dollars in funding to date.
